During the last couple of days I've received some mails where people ask if they can use my photos (mainly panoramas from a certain place) for their homepage or get a certain resolution of the pic to use as their desktop.
In a way I am kind of flattered to see that some people seem to like my work, on the other hand I wonder if they just try to save some money, by getting work from a photographer directly and without paying any royalty fees.
The funny thing is that none of the mails is really spam - all senders added their contact info, and so far everybody told me (with link, description,...) what the picture is used for. So most of them were allowed to use the requested photo with the condition of naming me as the photograher.
Probably I am just too kind....but as taking photographs is just a hobby of mine and I don't really aim at making money...what the hell.
what would you do, btw?
