Berg Heil

Berg Heil, as you can read on the summit cross, is the German greeting among mountaineers and climbers.

This is a eight shot panorama of the Axamer Lizum and the Inn Valley and the Nordkette, taken between the Birgitz Koepfel and the Pfiemeswand (summit I am standing on should be the Zwoelferkogel).

From the Birgitz Koepfel Haus (can be seen to the left) to the Pfiemeswand it's a not to difficult hike which brings you to the Zwoeflerkogel at midpoint.

The view you get from up there is breathtaking. The mountains may not be the highest in this area, with just a bit more than 2.000m, but the panorama is amazing nonetheless.
To the West, the direction we are looking at, one can see almost as far as Telfs, and the mountains of the Nordkette (right third of the photo) are also very prominent.

So if you happen to be around Innsbruck in summer or early fall, and you want to get a good look over the Inn Valley, this is definitely the place to go.
